The Sweetwater Kiwanis were pleased to have former New York Yankees pitcher, Aaron Small, giving his personal testimony. Mr. Small showed how God's providence shined in his career and propelled him to the heights of major league baseball at a time when he thought his career was ending. Aaron's story is a story of blessings, struggle, growth and persistence.
He described his journey in life was marked by God's provision and instruction to trust our Father in heaven. Our human nature is worry and to make our own plans. Allowing God to use us as a tool requires our submission to His will.
Aaron described how his daily prayers with his wife shaped the decisions in his career. He later told of us of his bout with encephalitis in 2008 which he was in a coma for 8 days and nearly perished. His story on and off the baseball field have inspired thousands.
